Acid Seas- Balancing the Future

Production Manager for educational initiative designed to advance understanding of the ocean’s natural ability to convert harmful carbon dioxide into organic plant plankton. Research documentation includes how the ocean’s microscopic plant life is essential for sustaining the ocean food chain and can help slow down global warming and climate change.

Al Gore’s ‘The Climate Project’ Nashville, Tennessee.- 2007
Trained under the guidance of the honorable Al Gore and his associates in the art of presenting slide show materials seen in the award-winning film ‘An Inconvenient Truth”.
Project included videotaped interviews with Climate Project Executive Director Jenny Clad and other serve a key part of the pro hram.

EM- Effective Microorganisms- 2006
television productions and speaking tours pertaining to how natural microbes can be effectively used by organic farmers, animal husbandry, zoos, water treatment, and to benefit human health.

HAUKEA Arctic Expeditions: Video footage provided to create the Sierra Club documentary ‘Oil on Ice” , the Hawaii ‘HAUKEA Expedition” television program, and assist national media campaigns initiated by the Earth Justice Legal Defense Fund, and the Alaska Coalition.

Alaska’s Western Arctic 2003 Video documentation of the Inupiat Eskimo village of Nuiqsut, Alaska’s Western Arctic, and the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A) arctic lands. Documentation includes oil development, climate change and changes being faced by Native residents.

Arctic Refuge & Yukon 2002 The HAUKEA expedition conducted research and documentation in the Gwich’in village of Old Crow located in Canada’s Yukon, camped and trekked in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), were lived in the Inupiat Eskimo village of Kaktovik.

Tern Island- 2002 High seas expedition to Tern Island and the North West Hawaiian Islands. Actions included rescuing baby sea turtles, documenting the impacts of plastic on sea birds and conducting DNA sampling and behavioral studies of wild spinner dolphins. Expedition used the research catamaran vessel “Alguita” catamaran.

‘Great Adventures’ 1999- 2005
Producer, on-camera Host. Mountaineering expeditions to Antarctica, Alaska, Nepal, and other areas. In-studio interviews.

‘Inspired Earth’ Essence of Water. 2001
Producer, Camera, Scriptwriter-
United Nations World Day for Water Conference, Tokyo, Japan. Topic involved water and its essential function in creating and sustaining life. Images included whales, dolphins, sea turtles. Scientific research presented included how the Earth’s water, and perhaps life, may have originated from meteorites, comets and other celestial bodies.

EM- Effective Microorganisms. 1997-2005
Japanese and English language videos and television programs pertaining to organic farming, animal care, and bioremediation of public water systems. Productions include “Restoring the Waters of Osaka Bay” and “Revitalizing Japan’s Seto Inland S\ea.” Productions created in cooperation with the EM Systems Network, whose headquarters are in Okinawa, with field offices in Nagoya, Honolulu and over 100 cities around the world.

Animal Planet ‘Wild Rescues’
Cameraman, Field Producer, on-camera guest expert.
Provided materials, interviews and supervised camera teams for videotaping of programs pertaining to whales, dolphins and impacts of war upon wildlife.

‘Sounds of the Deep’
Producer-Writer - briefing video pertaining to impacts of low-frequency sound waves on whales and other marine mammals.

Earth Day—Production Coordinator & On-Stage Host for events involving audience of 1000+ people in Fukuoka, Japan.

A Question of Balance
Field Producer , Taiwan Television
Taiwan television documentary on collapse of Atlantic codfish stocks and the impacts upon marine mammals. On-ice activities focused on white harp seals’ sub-zero nurseries and fishing operations on east coast of Canada in winter and spring

Gulf War environmental disaster
Cameraman, Field Coordinator- Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq. Provided assistance to oil soaked wildlife; coordinated public information campaign to support environmental clean-up efforts. Video footage used by CNN, TV-3 UK, and other broadcast networks. On-camera expert for ABC Nightline, Asahi TV Japan, Dutch Television and others.

Expeditions Director/ Videographer for voyages and expeditions to Tasman Sea, Taiwan, North Pacific Ocean and other areas. Documenting and exposing environmental impacts of high seas driftnets, dolphin ‘drive-kill’ fisheries and endangered species trafficking were conducted.

Project Director & scriptwriter for award-winning marine wildlife video. Hosted by noted actor Lloyd Bridges on location.

‘From No Man's Land a Porpoise Cries’
Expedition Director for Turner Broadcasting (TBS) documentary involving high seas expedition to Bering Sea, Alaska and Russia.

Coordinator for 2-month high seas film documentary and whale conservation expedition in North Pacific Ocean
